The Mass isn't stupid. It's optimized.

It has learned to survive socially by following the right cues, adopting the right behaviors, consuming the right content. It's not a lack of critical thinking. It's a system designed to make conformity the most convenient choice.

The Mass doesn't follow. It's followed. By the data it produces, the preferences it expresses, the behaviors it repeats. It's the system's most valuable product.

The Sheep doesn't follow because it has no ideas. It follows because following is rational.

In a system where visibility depends on alignment, dissenting has a cost. Being out of trend has a cost. The Sheep has calculated, even unconsciously, that the cost isn't worth it. So it adopts the trend, shares the content, uses the moment's right words.

It's not cowardice. It's adaptation. The problem is that seven billion individuals adapting together produce a reality no one chose.

Everyone's doing it. A video I saw said so.

It's not addiction. It's a product designed to look like freedom of choice while eliminating the ability to choose.
